Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1727

Everyone else was backing off, but not Amy. She kept trying to elbow her way inside, even though she wasn't as strong as the others. She hovered at the door, unable to break through.

"Fiona!" Amy finally couldn't hold it in any longer and shouted from the doorway.noveldrama

Everyone in the private dining room, along with those leaving under Jane's lead, stopped and turned their attention to Amy.

"Fiona, it sounds like someone's calling you from outside," Kimberly said, setting down her fork and glancing toward the door.

There were quite a few people clustered at the entrance, making it hard to see clearly.

Shelly furrowed her brow. The voice was familiar, but she dismissed the thought that it could be that annoying Amy. Amy was even more self-important than her and wouldn't be caught dead with someone like Jane.

She must be imagining things!

"Amy, you admire Fiona so much, but it's a shame she didn't invite you to dinner. She doesn't really see you as a friend, but you're still all smiles," Jane scoffed as she turned to leave with her entourage.

"Mind your own business!" Amy muttered under her breath.

Fiona must not have heard her, otherwise, she would've responded. Besides, Amy barely knew anyone inside-they must be Fiona's friends, and Fiona was probably just too shy to call her in!

Amy started to convince herself but quickly chickened out. Seeing how much fun Fiona and her friends were having, she didn't want to mess up their vibe.

Just as Amy was about to turn away, Fiona noticed her and broke into a smile.

"Amy!" Fiona's cheerful voice cut through the air.

Amy spun around, surprise and lighting up her face. Fiona was waving at her, and she blinked make sure it wasn't a dream she

mediately dashed over to Fiona.

"Fiona, did you see me?"

Feeling a bit bashful, it was the first time she showed such a look in front of someone, awkwardly standing still.

"Of course, want to join us?"

Naturally, Amy couldn't say no to Fiona's invite.

"Sure, I haven't eaten yet."

She was over the moon. Ever since the results were announced, she'd been on a mission to find Fiona. But after nearly two months, she had no luck, only knowing Fiona was somewhere in the City. But the City was huge, and she had no clue where to start. It was like a thorn in her heart; every day she was eager to meet Fiona, the legendary top student!

"Amy, you're usually so cool and distant. Why are you so clingy with Fiona? Shelly teased. If she hadn't known Amy for ages, she'd be fooled by Amy's behavior. fo

"I'm not that aloof... I'm really easygoing," Amy said, shooting Shelly a glare.

Why did she keep dragging up the past? It was driving her nuts.

What if Fiona got the wrong idea about her?

"Okay, okay, you're the easiest to get along with. Who was it that kicked Jane so hard she ended up in the hospital for over three months, fiercer than a tiger?"

"Shelly, are you asking for trouble?" Amy snapped, slamming the table and springing to her feet, scolding Shelly.

She quickly deflated, awkwardly glancing at Fiona beside her, who was calmly eating her shrimp, unfazed. This only made Amy more anxious and flustered.
