Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1552

She never saw this coming. She thought it would be Fiona taking all the heat, not

her.

Shivering, she couldn't bear to meet Nash's eyes. He must know what she did, how disgraceful she'd been! Nash was such a great guy; she felt utterly unworthy of him now, probably forever.

"It's not... it's not like that..." she stammered, trembling, a picture of helplessness and regret. Janet awkwardly picked herself up off the floor, and as she made her way back to her seat, her gaze landed on Fiona. She glared at Fiona with pure resentment but didn't utter a word.

Even Patricia had turned away, quietly slipping back to her seat, not wanting to get caught in the fallout. Right now, staying out of it was the smartest move for Patricia.

"Let me see your phone," Janet demanded, her face ghostly pale, directing her words sharply at Patricia. But Patricia didn't budge, and Janet's temper flared. "I'm talking to you! Are you deaf?"

Patricia still didn't respond, so Janet kicked her chair in frustration, needing some way to vent her anger. She realized now how far she'd fallen-no more respect, no more followers.noveldrama

It was a quick plunge from grace into the mud.

Grinding her teeth, she shot Fiona a lethal glare just as a student called out from the front, "Janet from Class 19, your teacher wants to see you."

The words hit her like a thunderclap. Janet's face drained of color. She bit down on her lip to stop it from trembling. She knew this mess had seriously tarnished the school's reputation. She might even get expelled.

Feeling restless, she stood up quickly. Her broken phone briefly lit up, and one look at the message on it was enough to break her composure. She marched over to Fiona, slammed the phone onto the desk, and accused her loudly.

"You still dare to say it wasn't you!"

Fiona barely raised her head, giving a slight, knowing smile. "And what if it was?"

That simple reply left Janet speechless, boiling with rage.

"You should head to the office. Don't keep the teacher waiting."

Fiona rarely smiled, but now she did, casually resting her hand on her phone screen, easily taking down two enemies in her game.

"You!!!"

Janet, seething, swung her hand to slap Fiona again, but someone caught her wrist midair.

Nash!

She looked at Nash, disbelief and loss written all over her face.

"Is Fiona really that amazing?" After a moment of wrestling with herself, she finally asked, "What's going on between you two?"

"None of your business," Nash said, shaking off her hand with visible impatience. "Anything else?"

Janet clamped her lips shut and left the classroom without another word.

Fiona glanced up at Nash. "What's up?"

"Jackson wants to grab lunch."

"Sure." Fiona nodded.

Before long, another call came, "Fiona, your teacher wants to see you." "Why would the teacher want you?" Nash asked, frowning in confusion. Fiona shrugged, helplessly replying, "Who knows? Let's go find out."

Fiona steeled herself, ready for Janet to try and pin everything on her. As she approached the office door, she could hear the teacher's voice booming from inside.
