Chapter 35: Do You… Love Me?
Edited by Lord Immortal
After a while, he finally appeared and held me up anxiously. I heard his gentle voice in my ear, “Yufei, you can’t see anything, so don’t run around!”
It seemed to be the most words he had said to me in the villa in half a month.
My heart trembled, then I put my arms around his neck and wanted to touch his injured area, but when I was about to ask him if it hurt, I froze.
The place where he had been hurt was smooth, and there was no sign of injury. I could feel his warm skin, but there seemed to be no sign of bleeding too.
I had a little doubt about this, but I didn’t ask him.
Maybe I thought too much, but the smell of blood on my fingers was so clear.
Suddenly, Su Chengzhao grabbed my wrist and asked with surprise and worry, “Yufei, did you get hurt?”
I froze for a moment, and suddenly a thought came into my mind, but it seemed that it would never happen.
I held Su Chengzhao’s arm tightly and stared at him closely, “Chengzhao, I am hungry and want to eat something that you told me on the day you left.”
Su Chengzhao said almost without any hesitation, “I’ve bought dumplings. I will cook them for you later.”
His words put an end to the idea in my mind. My heart was full of bitterness. Was I wrong again?
But what about the cut on his neck?
Su Chengzhao suddenly smiled and said in a relaxed tone, “Yufei, I am sorry. I accidentally got my blood on your fingers.”
He wiped off the blood on my fingers as he was speaking, and I sat there stiffly.
I didn’t know why I always felt it was a bit far fetched when he said that. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
I also felt that everything around me seemed to become suspicious.
Originally, I wanted to ask him something about that day, but suddenly I felt my lower abdomen ache. Very soon, I felt dizzy and barely conscious.
I vaguely heard Su Chengzhao’s anxious voice, but his voice was getting farther and farther away from me.
I had a dream that I was chained and surrounded by men. They kept touching me with their disgusting hands, and I wanted to die but couldn’t move.
Sitting in front of me were Qin Mochen and Mo Yulin. Qin Mochen held Mo Yulin in his arms and looked at me with a sneer as I was defiled and humiliated by this group of people, as if he was enjoying a movie.
The endless fear and torture made me roar. Suddenly, the pain in my lower abdomen woke me up.
The sudden glare made me close my eyes uncomfortably. But at that moment, I was happy to realize that my eyesight… had been restored!
Once more, I slowly opened my eyes to adjust the long-lost light. Although it was still a little uncomfortable, my heart was full of joy.
The half month I spent in the dark made me miserable. I thought I would spend the rest of my life in darkness.
No sooner had I sat up when the door was suddenly opened, and I found that it was Qin Mochen who came in.
I shivered, thinking back to the day when I was bound by chains and thinking of Mo Yulin’s vicious words, all of which still surrounded me like a nightmare.
I sat stiffly and I gazed at him motionlessly.
Qin Mochen walked close to me with gentleness. I saw a sense of pity in his eyes which were used to be filled with disgust and coldness towards me.
He sat down beside me and touched my cheek and sighed softly.
I shivered and gazed blankly at him. His sigh was the one I knew best, the one I used to hear when I was blind.
Maybe it was because blind people tend to hear better.
Suddenly, that idea came back to my mind. I reached out and held the hand that touched my face and looked down.
“Do you… love me?” I still looked down and did not look at him. Now that my eyesight had been restored, if I looked straight at Qin Mochen, he would be able to read my mind at a glance.
