Chapter 95 Catch a Big Fish
Chapter 95 Catch a Big Fish
Crane's family of four is happy.
But Bernard was about to fall apart.
He had never imagined that his slip of the tongue would actually be caught.
"Director Moss, I, I!"
Bernard wanted to explain something, but was interrupted by Eduard.
"Take him away!"
He came out this time with a few plainclothesmen by his side, and with the heavy official authority, even
a few of Bernard's bodyguards didn't dare to stop him.
Aston walked out slowly at this time, his face somewhat pale.
"Director Moss, you ......"
"And who are you?"
Eduard gave him a look.
He was naturally aware of his identity, yet he wouldn't even care.
"I am Aston Smith from Magic City."
Aston wanted to shock his opponent with this name, while Eduard made a move -
"Take him away too!"
Soon, Aston and Bernard were all taken away.
"Who the hell are you?"
A burst of embarrassment flickered in Aston's heart.
He had thought that he would be able to suppress Eduard Moss by his title, but he hadn't thought that
Eduard was actually so bold.
"Damn!"
He didn't know how to react for a moment, and being locked up in an interrogation room was still
something he never expected. It seemed to him that he was the only one who got people in, but now
he not got caught.
"Sit down."
Seeing Aston's somewhat agitated and restless appearance, a staff of the Safety Department gave a
stern shout, and Aston became furious at his words.
"Damn!"
"Do you know who I am?"
"I am a member of the Smith family in Magic City, if you offend me, you are offending the Smith family
in Magic City, and the consequences of that are by no means something you can imagine!"
Aston couldn't stop threatening the staff.
At this time, Eduard walked in and gave a light laugh, "The Smith family in Magic City is very powerful?
Well indeed it is very powerful."
Hearing these words, Aston instantly revealed a smile, but Eduard's next words caused his face to
change abruptly.
"You guys are running a black market in our Stone City, huh, indeed, it is really powerful. Tell us, how
many national treasures did you get and how much stolen goods did you sell?"
The crime that Eduard said was a big deal.
Black markets, which are found in many cities, are mostly not outlawed, but at best, actions such as
curb controls are taken.
Artifacts can be sold, but national treasures are different.
In ancient times, many of the cultural relics sold are actually not considered national treasures, such as
copper coins, although there is a collection value, but not enough to be called a national treasure.
The real national treasure, is the only one, can be called five thousand years of the treasure. The state
has always been extremely strict control on this kind of thing, only museums around are qualified to
collect, at most collectors, but once it is dumped trafficking, that is absolutely not allowed.
Once found out, it may well amount to the crime of treason!
That was why Aston's face had become so pale.
He had thought that this matter was done extremely stealthily and would not even be known by the
officials for a few years, but he did not expect to be known in this short period of time.
But even so, he still argued.
"Director Moss, what are you talking about? I'm confused, what national treasure dumping and selling,
I've never done such a thing!"
"Unbridled!"
Eduard shot up and stared at Aston with a deadly stare, snorting coldly, "Do you really think you are
acting as secretive?"
"What a joke!"
"All your actions were expected, in addition, you wanted to use the Scott family to annex the Saunders
family, so as not to cost a little financial resources to turn the city village into your future heritage
trafficking market, but the Saunders family's action faster than you. Now nearly one-fifth of the Scott
Group industry was acquired by the Saunders family!"
Eduard truly despised this Aston.
National treasures are treasures that have been passed down for thousands of years in the great East,
they are the cultural heritage of a country. How on earth can these people sell it to other countries?
"We have also found out clearly that you hired those assassins before, and then Bernard paid to them
to assassinate Mr. Crane, do you admit to this matter?"
"I, no, it is Bernard did that and has nothing to do with me."
"Oh, but Bernard said it was you who contacted them... By the way, are you still trying to expand the
so-called circle of killers in the black market, and even more so, you have deployed some controlled
weapons in a big way?"
Eduard pressed on step by step.
Aston was cracking up.
He had never expected that Eduard would actually investigate the matter thoroughly.
It's like the evidence is fully gathered, but Eduard was still wanting him to admit it.
"No, no, the Smith family will definitely come to my rescue, after all, they are still waiting for me to open
up the market in Q State, so I just have to say I did not do any of it, and it will be fine afterwards." Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
Aston felt that Eduard might be swindling him, in fact, there may be no evidence, as long as he did not
admit it, Eduard could do nothing about him.
In fact, Eduard has hard evidence in his hands.
However, he had no intention of making Aston confess and then sentencing him, as Crane had made it
clear that he wanted to use Aston to lure out the other Smith family members and then kill them all in
one go.
In the third day, Aston had finally seen a Smith family member.
"Mr. Aston."
The one who came was an old servant of the Smith family, and although he called him Mr. Aston, there
was disdain in his eyes.
If it wasn't for his words to please Ma’am Smith, he wouldn't need to rescue such a waste.
"Orion."
Aston ran out. He did not look well for he had been spending the past few days in detention.
Orion gave him a cold look and waved his hand, "Go."
"What about Eduard?"
"He has no evidence and is scamming you."
Orion had long ago investigated the matter, and learned from the channels over in the provincial capital
of Q State that Eduard had no evidence on his hands, and was entirely making things up.
"And luckily you didn't confess, or I wouldn't have been able to get you out."
Orion's words caused Aston to let out a sharp sigh of relief and be thankful.
But neither Orion nor Aston knew that it was Crane who was behind this matter.
Watching the two leave, Eduard dialed a phone call.
It's Crane.
"Mr. Smith, an old servant of the Smith family named Orion has come to get Crane out, should we
close the net?"
"Orion? I thought it was someone else, but it turns out to be that awful old man who followed that
woman to my Smith family."
Crane gave a light laugh across the phone, "No need, he isn't a big fish."
