Chapter 6: I Don’t Need Roland Francois’ Love
Chapter 6: I Don’t Need Roland Francois’ Love
After coming out of the Civil Affairs Bureau, Alvera looked down at the marriage certificate with a small
smile.
She put the certificate into her bag carefully, then pulled out a document and handed it to Roland.
"Mr Francois, please take a look at this document," she said.
Roland took the document and glanced at it. It was a simple marriage contract.
On the contract, it stated that the contractual marriage between Roland Francois and Alvera Earhart
would be six months.
Both parties were not to mention the contractual marriage during the agreed duration of the marriage.
The defaulting party would have to give up all his or her properties to the other.
After six months, apart from the seaside villa, the luxury car, and the savings in her bank account,
Alvera will leave without taking anything else from the Francois family.
There was already a date and Alvera's signature at the bottom of the document.
"If there are no problems if the contract, please write your name here." Alvera said.
Roland looked at her and said, "Has anyone told you that you're really bold?"
"Yes, many people said so."
"You will pay for your boldness one day, you know?"
"Yes, that's why I'm getting bolder," she replied. "I want to keep you to your word."
Roland took out a pen and signed his name on the contract quickly, using the marriage certificate as a
signing pad.
However, he did not give her the contract after signing it. Instead, he clipped it with the marriage
certificate.
Alvera held out her hand. "Mr Francois, I think it would be better if I kept the contract."
"Since it's a contract, it must be in accordance with both parties' wishes. Your terms are written there,
but not mine," Roland said.
"This contract is not unfavourable to you," she said. C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.
"That's what you think."
Alvera retracted her hand. "Fine," she thought. "He can add what he wants."
She looked at him calmly.
"I've gotten everything ready. You just need to schedule the surgery for Andrina and let me know the
time. I have something else to do, so I'm leaving," she said.
She turned around and left.
Roland stayed where he was and watched she walked further with his arms folded.
The game was fun only if it was dangerous.
In the distance, she took out a piece of candy and stuffed it into her mouth. Then she looked up at the
blue sky.
Sacrificing her marriage for revenge was probably the stupidest choice she had ever made in her life.
However... she would never regret it.
In the Midnight Club, Alvera and Samuel sat quietly by the colourful lights of the bar.
"Samuel, do you have what I wanted?"
Samuel let out a despondent sigh and looked at her solemnly.
"I really don't understand what you are trying to do. That man is in love with Andrina. Even though he is
your legal husband, what's the point of this if he doesn't love you? The men of the Francois family are
all scums. It's really not worth it to sacrifice your marriage. I'm worried that you will get hurt in the end."
"Samuel, I know what I'm doing. I didn't forget who sent me to prison in the first place. I don't need
Roland Francois' love." Alvera said.
Samuel just looked at her worriedly, not knowing what he could do.
Alvera had changed. She was not who she was four years ago.
There was an impenetrable coldness in her eyes.
"I will do it even if I have to sacrifice my soul. Andrina's man of her dreams is my husband. Even if she
really gets him back, she will always be the other woman."
"That's exactly what I want," she continued. "I want her to be the mistress. That's what she said,
homewreckers should be d*mned to hell. One of them should suffer what my mother had suffered."
Samuel sighed when he remembered his kind-hearted aunt, and then handed her a brown paper bag.
"I don't know whether I'm doing the right thing or not, but I'll have you know, dude, don't get too
involved. I won't be able to forgive myself if you lose." he said.
Alvera took a look at the document in the bag and smiled brightly at him.
In a dark corner further away, a pair of eagle eyes stared intently at them.
...
This woman...
She just married him, and then came to the bar to seduce another man.
She was bold indeed.
