Alpha Twins And Their Hybrid Mate

Chapter 86

Nathan growled and I could see his wolf on the brink of losing control. Things were not supposed to go this way.

This conference was already a mess and now this upcoming brawl would make things harder.

At least for me.

The tension in the air was thick as the warriors closed in, their numbers overwhelming. Tristan's muscles coiled, ready for a fight, and Nathan's eyes flickered with steely resolve. But before they could act, I stepped forward, my hand raised in a gesture of peace.

"Alpha Rambo. We appreciate your offer and also your kindness in arranging a place to stay for us. As if you knew things would go bad and we would have to stay at different places." I spoke and saw Alpha Rambo's eyes darkened.

"Are you intending something?" Alpha Rambo asked.

Am I? This was what I wanted to say but I kept my mouth shut and smiled. This was all facade and I needed to get my mates out of this situation.

I turned to Alpha Rambo, my expression composed but hiding a storm beneath. "We'll do as you ask, Alpha. We won't leave until the patrol returns. But mark my words, this is far from over."

Alpha Rambo's smirk widened, satisfied by our compliance. "I'm glad to hear you're seeing the reason. My only concern is the safety of everyone here."

The lie in his voice was obvious, but we didn't challenge it. Instead, I gave a polite nod and stepped back. The tension eased slightly as Alpha Rambo's warriors relaxed, though their watchful eyes never left the group.noveldrama

Sara huffed but didn't say much.

Tristan came toward me, his eyes worried, but he didn't say anything.

At least not to my face, but my mind link was active.

"Take care of yourself. And don't trust the Moonlake pack. I think they are planning something. And separating us might be one of their plans." he said.

"Yes. Alpha Rambo seems like a cruel werewolf and I am pretty sure he is doing something against our back. There might be no attack. All lies." Nathan chimed in.

"Don't worry guys. I can take care of myself. I am more worried about you both. You need to take care of yourself and be vigilant about your surroundings. We need to be

ve

hundred percent sure before acting on anything." I assured them.

They both nodded and I knew they wanted something. So I stood at my tip toes

and gave both of them a slight kiss on their lips.

We had limited time.

I saw them leave. I didn't want to do that but I had to.

Alpha Rambo you are going to pay for this.

After saying our goodbyes to the twins, me and Sara followed one of the pack's warriors to the quarters that had been prepared for us.

The moment the door shut behind them, Ella let out a slow breath, her mind racing.

The room was quite spacious, it had two rooms, one kitchenette area and small sitting area and one bathroom.

And as I had mentioned earlier it was as if they knew things were going to be like this.

Sara perched nervously on the edge of a chair, her fingers twisting together. "Do you think we'll be safe here?"

I glanced out the window, my eyes narrowing as I thought about Alpha Rambo. "No," I said simply. "Things are tricky here."

"That I know," Sara grumbled as she started taking a tour of the room.

My eyes were on the room, but a million things were running on my brain.

Like Ryan, Alpha Rambo's son. He'd been quiet during the confrontation, standing off to the side as if he

didn't belong. His eyes had been net

different, there was a flicker of doubt, a hesitation that had set him apart from his father's cold confidence.

His father was ruthless, but he seemed like he was holding something, hiding something. And the way he said that he knew things about white wolves.

I walked to the window, my mind working rapidly. Ryan had something under

wrap. I sensed it. He wasn't like Alpha Rambo, but there was something. I could feel the conflict in him, the potential to be swayed.

My gaze hardened. I couldn't let

Alpha Rambo's plot succeed, not if it meant danger for the Stoneheart and Dark Veil Packs. There was too much at stake. I would need to be careful, calculated. But I needed to take my next step, for my mates.
