Alpha Twins And Their Hybrid Mate

Chapter 117

I shook my head violently. "No! You're not lost! I can—"

"You can't save everyone," Wendy cut me off, her voice strong, though her body was weak. "You need to let me go, Ella. You need to focus on what really matters."

Her words twisted the knife deeper into my chest. Wendy, always selfless, always brave, was willing to give herself up to save the others. But how could I stand here and let her burn? How could I walk away?

"I love you, Ella," she whispered, her voice carrying through the flames. "Go. Please."

My heart shattered into a thousand pieces, but deep down, I knew she was right. If I stayed, if I tried to save her now, the witch would win. More lives would be lost.

As much as I wanted to obey Wendy's wishes, I couldn't just walk away. I couldn't abandon her, not when I had the power to make a difference. My heart pounded as I made my decision, and before either Nathan or Tristan could stop me, I charged through the flames.

"Ella!" Nathan's voice shouted after me, panic flooding his tone.

The heat scorched my skin, the fire clawing at me as I pushed forward, but I didn't stop. My enchanted gear, designed to resist elemental magic, helped deflect the worst of the flames, though I could still feel the burning against my skin. My white wolf powers surged within me, a steady pulse of determination that drove me forward. I reached Wendy, her eyes widening in disbelief as I grabbed her wrists and began tearing through the ropes that held her.

"Hang on!" I gritted my teeth, ignoring the sharp pain in my hands as the flames threatened to engulf us both.

"You- you shouldn't have " Wendy stammered, but her voice broke off in a choked sob.

"I'm not losing you," I said firmly, my voice steady despite the chaos surrounding

us.

With a final pull, the ropes snapped, and Wendy collapsed into my arms. I held her tight, lifting her from the cross and dragging her away from the flames. The smoke burned my throat, and I felt the fire searing my legs, but I pushed through it, focused on getting her out of there.

Once we were clear, I collapsed on the ground, breathing heavily. Nathan and Tristan were beside me in seconds, helping me up as I concentrated, placing my hand on Wendy's chest. My magic surged again, and I could feel the remnants of the witch's poison-the wolfbane-clinging to her, like a parasite. I closed my eyes, pouring every bit of energy I had left into purifying her.noveldrama

A white light spread from my hand, flowing over Wendy like a gentle wave, burning away the dark magic inside her. Her body jerked for a moment before it relaxed, and she gasped, her chest rising and falling with renewed strength.

"It's gone," she whispered, her voice barely audible, tears streaming down her face.

I smiled, exhausted but relieved. "I told you... I wouldn't leave you."

Wendy shook her head, tears glistening in her eyes, but her smile was bright. "You're impossible, Ella."

Once Wendy had recovered enough to stand, I gently placed her hand in mine and looked around. Our pack members, many of whom had been under the witch's control, were waking up, confused and disoriented. They needed help.

"Wendy," I said, my voice firm despite my exhaustion. "I need you to tend to the wounded. You know what to do."

Wendy hesitated for a moment, but then I saw the fire of determination flare in her eyes. She nodded, her expression hardening with resolve. As the daughter of a healer, she had inherited her mother's skill and compassion, but she had also developed her own strength. I watched as she moved through the chaos, calming the others and tending to their wounds with practiced efficiency.

Among the injured was the son of the Alpha I had recently freed. He had a gash running down his arm, but instead of letting Wendy focus, he started flirting with her, clearly taken by her fierce attitude. "You're a lot tougher than you look," he said, flashing her a charming smile despite the pain.

Wendy didn't even look up from where she was wrapping his wound. "You're a lot dumber than you look," she shot back, tightening the bandage just a little too much.

The Alpha's son winced, but his grin only widened. "I think I like you."

"Yeah, well, you're going to like this even more," Wendy replied, finishing up with

a firm tug. "Now stop talking and let me do my job."

He opened his mouth to say

something else, but a glare from

Wendy sitenced him. I couldn't help but laugh under my breath, watching her handle him with the same no-nonsense attitude that had kept her grounded through all of this. Even through the exhaustion and the pain, Wendy remained unshakable.

As I took a moment to catch my breath, I knew one thing for sure-Wendy was going to be okay. And despite the terror of the altar, we had made it one step closer to stopping the witch.
