Chapter 34
Willow wanted to be there for Aaron’s
Sumery, and after pleading for a long time, the research institution
housand
finally agreed to advance her 700 dollars.
Willow couldn’t be happier seeing the additional 700 thousand dollars in her bank account. With the 150 thousand from Nicola, she now had 850 hundred thousand. She only needed to raise another 150 thousand before her death to afford Aaron’s surgery.
Willow heard that she could earn a

If she encountered generous customers, she could potentially earn two to three thousand bucks in commission in one night.
Of course, such opportunities were rare, and most people only earned a few hundred in one night. However, even that would be pretty good for Willow.
She applied medicine to her injured finger, but the wound was still festering. So, she wore a white glove to cover it, which didn’t affect her appearance much.
Her interview at Velvet Noir went exceptionally well. The manager immediately hired her for the night shift.
Velvet Noir was one of the most upscale clubs in the city, and even the girls working there wore a uniform. The club had a romantic and retro theme, and Willow’s uniform for the night was a sleeveless red dress with gold trim.
One could tell the dress was expensive by just looking at it, which boosted her confidence in making money that night.
Soft and soulful music echoed in de the club, accompanied by flickering lights that created an ambiance of luxury and indulgence.
The wealthy elite of Havenpoint often conducted business or socialized at places like Blue Note or Velvet
Noir.
Most men might abstain from engaging with the girls, but they still frequented these establishments, as if being there enhanced their sense of refinement.
Willow adjusted her gloves. At first glance, her outfit, a rose–red dress paired with white gloves, seemed a bit out of place.
However, in this society, beauty was paramount. With her striking appearance, she added an air of mystery and elegance to her ensemble.
The manager held Willow in high regard. She was assigned to the top–floor diamond VIP suite on her first day.
Despite her nerves, Willów reminded herself that her role was solely to promote drinks; she wasn’t there‘ to accompany clients.

However, she’d heard stories of clients taking advantage of the drink promoters. She hoped that tonight, the patrons she encountered would be respectful and refrain from any inappropriate behavior.
“Willow?”
Just as Willow reached the top floor, a malicious voice sounded behind her. She couldn’t help but shiver
at the sound of this voice–the one that had haunted her nightmares countless times.
She turned around and saw Louis standing at the staircase with a smirk.
“Willow, it’s really you! Long time no see!”
As Louis spoke, he quickly approached and grabbed her wrist.
“Louis, let go of me!” Terrifying memories of Louis forcing himself on her four years ago resurfaced, and Willow’s body trembled uncontrollably.
She would never allow such a nightmare to replay!
“Let go?” Louis’s smirk became even more wicked. “How can we relive the old times then?
“Willow, I’ve been dying to see you! If it weren’t for my grandmother sending me to Afrinia for four years,
you would have been mine long ago!”
With that, Louis exerted force on her wrist, pressing her against the nearby wall.
