Alpha Twins And Their Hybrid Mate

Chapter 53

I sat at the table as Marilyn was preparing the coffee and I wouldn't take my eyes off of her. I was afraid that I would get a coffee mug thrown at me for some reason if I took my eyes off of her.

I needed to be on guard at all times around this woman. More now than ever before. She'd never been nice to me before. But now she was making me a coffee and she was being really nice for some reason. I was getting worried.

"Ella. You didn't answer my question." Marilyn said, looking over her shoulder. I had to think for a minute at what her question was before I actually remembered.

"Oh. He's fine." I said, simply. Still watching her with unwavering eyes to make sure that she wasn't going to throw anything at me.

"How much time did you spend with him?" Marilyn asked.

"I spent a few nights at his house. I worked for him at one of his cafe's. I guess we got to know each other pretty well. We talked about a lot." I said, narrowing my eyes at Marilyn to see how she would handle that news. To see what she was going to with that little bit of information that I told her. I was hoping that maybe she would stop lying to me once and for all.

"I guess I have some explaining to do then." She said. And I nodded my head slightly. Agreeing that she did. I was pretending like I already knew and this was her chance to give me her side of the story.

I know what Dean told me, but who could believe him? I'm not sure that anything he said was the truth.

"Well, I met Dean at a club in Seattle when I was out with my friends. He was very handsome and all the ladies were looking at him. But when I started to talk to him, I knew that he was mine. So, we went home together that night and that's when you were conceived." She said, turning around and leaning on the kitchen benches.

"Dean showed up where I worked the next day and asked me out. Well, I couldn't say no to that. He was everything to me and it wasn't long before he had moved into my little apartment with me. He didn't really move in, he was just there all the time. But when I found out that he was a poor kid from Alaska, I couldn't handle that. He told me that he would take care of me, but he couldn't take care of me if he had no money. So, I started going out with my friends again, trying to find that perfect guy who had money to take care of me." Marilyn explained. And I kept staring at her, this time with my mouth agape.

I guess she was always the gold digger that I know her to be.

"He didn't know you were seeing other people?" I asked.

"No. He was always too busy with the business that he was trying to start up. He didn't even notice when I started bringing other men to the apartment where he was living with me. But when he did find out from a neighbor, that nosy bitch, he left and I never saw him again." Marilyn explained.

That must have been when he went to go and find his mate. To try and find some way of breaking this curse. He obviously didn't but Sierra is his mate which is really unfamiliar in his pack these days. Most pack members have chosen mates because the curse stops them from finding their fated mates.

But everything she just told me confirms what I have always suspected. I was a child that was never meant to be born. Marilyn never wanted me because she thought Dean was a deadbeat with no money. I didn't know that I could be any more disappointed in Marilyn, but here we are. Disappointed in a whole new way.

Marilyn doesn't know anything about werewolves, so I was going to have to explain it all a different way to her. And I knew that this wasn't going to be easy. Now I was gonna have to watch out for things being thrown at my head.

"Well, I think you should know that he just didn't want you to know the truth. Dad is actually a billionaire with a wife and a really cute daughter." I said.

I saw Marilyn start to tremble with anger as soon as I told her the truth. But I think it was also me calling him 'dad' that really got to her. Especially since I've only known him for a very short time.

"So, you want to leave me to go and live with the billionaire's money and forget all the hurt he caused me? You seem pretty comfortable calling a man that never raised you 'dad'." She said, sarcastically.

I knew that she wasn't going to take that too well.

But it was oddly satisfying to see her like this. Getting so angry about a man that she threw away because she thought he was poor and couldn't support her.

"He had nothing to do with me leaving. I decided not to come home ever since you decided to sell me to the twins." I snapped. And she looked down at the ground for a moment before she turned around and she picked up the two coffee mugs and brought them to the table. Placing one in front of me, without spilling it on me or throwing it at me.

I looked at Marilyn's face and I actually believed there was guilt strewn across it. Although, I can't be too sure. I've never seen that look on her before.

"I am really sorry about that Ella. I don't know what came over us when we thought about doing that. But I hoped you would come home and help me get the child support that Dean owes me. Everything that has gone wrong in my life is because of that man. Because of what he did to me." She said, sitting down at the table.

She actually believed that she deserved adequate compensation because he walked out on her and yet, he had every reason to walk out on her. She deserved everything she got and she deserves the life that she has now.

"I'm not helping you get any money out of Dean. You never raised me. You merely let me exist in your presence. That's not the same thing." I said, looking Marilyn straight in the eye. "You hid your pregnancy until you could find a man with enough money to help support you. Were you going to tell him that he was my father instead of Dean if you ever found him?" I asked, flatly with no emotions as I was trying to keep them in check while I was around her.

She wasn't that good though. She started turning different shades of red before she picked up her coffee mug and threw it across the room.

I knew that was going to happen sooner or later.noveldrama

"Dean lied to me first, and you grew up with nothing because of that. I never wanted you to live that sort of life. And I don't think there is anything wrong with finding a rich man to take care of us. To take care of me. But you being born shattered all dreams and hopes that I had for the future. It forced me to settle for people like Jack." She yelled. And the true Marilyn was finally coming out. The one where she thinks I should feel sorry for her and the way that her life turned out when really, she did it all to herself. But I wasn't going to feel sorry for her about any of it.

"Is that why you ignored me when I said that Jack couldn't keep his hands to himself?" I asked, cocking my head to the side as I asked her. A little afraid of the

answer.

"It was a simple way of getting back at you." Marilyn admitted.

I scoffed in complete shock. She let her husband abuse me as a punishment for something that I had no control over. What the hell was this woman's problem? "Why the hell didn't you just have me aborted?" I asked.

"I tried. No matter what I did, you wouldn't die. I had no money for a proper abortion so I had to try other ways. But none of them worked. And you were born at 6 months. Perfectly healthy. A medical miracle apparently." Marilyn said, looking out the window for a moment before looking back at me. "I raised you so I could take revenge on Dean. Showing him how I turned his daughter against him." Marilyn said.

"Well, I guess you failed. Didn't you? I am so glad that I wasn't born like you. That

I am nothing like you." I insisted.

"I am still your guardian until you turn 18, Ella. Don't forget that." Marilyn threatened me.

There's no way I could stay here until I was 18. Absolutely no way.

"What do you want from me so I can leave?" I asked, knowing that she was already planning her next big move.

"Call Dean. Right now." She said, sliding my phone across the table to me.
